I present to you this new summer Art Print inspired by the bright and warm colors that I retain in my memory after a trip to California. The “Santa Monica” Print is the memory of my visit to a friend’s house in Pacific Palisades. An area of Los Angeles privileged for its proximity to the Pacific Ocean and the mountains of Malibu.
The girl of this picture is a neighbor of my friends who, like me, was invited to eat on her wonderful terrace hanging above the ocean. The first thing I thought when I saw her was that she was a Hollywood celebrity enjoying the gentle Pacific breeze while others chatted.
She was dressed in a kaftan from the 60s. She was sitting on a comfortable pink velvet sofa, in front of a magnificent wall painted in red. She was one of the most elegant women I had ever seen. The whole house was flooded by the bright colors typical of the Californian coast, where summer never ends.
In this work I try to reflect the relaxation and calm that we all long for when summer arrives. We all need to escape from our daily lives to take refuge in that unique spot that we consider our place in the world.
