After Barcelona my second great love is Manhattan. That piece of land is one of the most energetic places I know. When I lived there one of my favorite pleasures was to walk aimlessly (East to West or North to South) and lose myself in its streets. It does not matter where I was because when I looked up he was there, the absolute protagonist of New York: the Empire State Building. He is the compass that tells you where you are and how far you have moved away from your house. I love that building, for me it is the very essence of the city, it represents the desire of the inhabitants of this city to get off the ground and to touch the sky This illustration tries to pay tribute to my favorite New Yorker friend.
