Barcelona Afternoon

After the success of Barcelona Pink Filter and Barcelona Beach, my new artprint Barcelona Afternoon closes the trilogy of illustrations dedicated to my city.

I consider myself a flaneur, as they say in France, I like to go for a walk aimlessly and without haste, wandering through the narrow streets and large avenues and stop at anything that catches my attention. I like to walk immersed in my thoughts and, suddenly, look up and Barcelona gives me a surprise, like a modernist cornice that I had never noticed or the incidence of the afternoon sun on the facade of a building.

Passeig de Gràcia remains one of my favorite destinations when it comes to direct my steps, there is the essence of the city of Barcelona. If you ask me, I will tell you that it is one of the most beautiful places in the world. And that is why I wanted to pay tribute to this spot of Barcelona in this illustration, where I have tried to capture the play of light and shadows of this magical place.

Light Tree

In 2009 my work was exhibited in Tokyo under the name “Beauty on paper”. I remember the days before the opening as very crazy, and in addition to the nerves of the assembly, there was that feeling of being lost in translation, which only a western traveler landing in Tokyo can have.

To relax a bit, I decided to take a walk through the nearby Yoyogi Park, which during that time was in full bloom of cherry blossoms. I remember standing in one of the outdoor cafes that populate the park and gazing ecstatically at the silhouette of a girl with a cup of coffee in front of a splendorous white cherry tree. It was one of those moments when time stands still. It was the total triumph of beauty.

That cherry tree full of flowers, white instead of pink, made me dream of a tree of light, which is what I later represented in this illustration.

Empire

After Barcelona, my second great love is Manhattan. That piece of land is one of the most energetic places I know. When I lived there, one of my favorite pleasures was wandering aimlessly (from East to West or from North to South) and getting lost in its streets. It didn’t matter where he was because when he looked up there was the absolute protagonist of New York: the Empire State Building.

He is the compass that tells you where you are and how far you have gone from home. I love that building, for me it is the very essence of the city, it represents the desire of the inhabitants of this city to get off the ground and be able to touch the sky.

This illustration tries to pay homage to my favorite New York friend: the empire state building.

Pool Party

Pool Party is one of my most emblematic illustrations. In it are represented, at the same time, many of the things I love: hedonism, beauty, glamour… Music and friends who enjoy together in a house and with a dream pool. It is without a doubt the perfect party that I have always wanted to organize!

The protagonists of this print enjoy the greatest pleasures in life: laughing, celebrating, sharing and loving. At Pool Party you can enjoy all this and much more. Because a good party is enjoyed surrounded by the best and with the best.

Love grafitti

The Love Grafitti print is more than just an illustration for me. The day I posted this illustration on Instagram, it became an instant classic, being the post with more likes received unanimously.

I guess its success comes from the high vibes and will to live that it transmits. The protagonist, who, just as every woman I draw is an independent beign in control of her own destiny, has painted a huge red heart on a wall and looks pretty satisfied with her work. This illustration is a declaration of love to Love (in capital letters).

If you are one of those who think that love can move mountains, go for the Love Grafitti illustration. Its elegant and aesthetic lines will match any wall in your home.

Summer in cambodia

The character in this illustration is yourself. You are traveling through a long time desired exotic destination. A dream has come true.

This illustration represents the magical moment when you make a pause in the journey to lose your sight in this ocean of vegetation. Your senses melt with the humidity of the air, the sounds of the jungle and the penetrating fragance of the evening flowers. Everything is at peace, everything is in its place. Your mind starts an even higher journey. You have found your place in the world, a lost corner in the Asian jungle in the midle of a thick nature

that displays all the shades of green. You have awakened your inner instinct to explore and connect with the outdoors. Nothing will be the same anymore.

Barcelona Pink Filter

In the Barcelona Pink illustration, which is one of my favorites, some of the things I love most in this life are captured. A good conversation, the warmth of friendship and as a backdrop my city, Barcelona. What can I say about Barcelona? is my first love, the city where I live and where I would like to grow old.

Life in Barcelona is relaxed, exciting, entertaining and sexy. We love to chat with a good glass of wine as we watch life go by, that is the essence of Mediterranean life.

This illustration – which is one of my favorites – brings together some of the things I most love in this life: a good conversation, the warmth of friendship and as a backdrop Barcelona, my city.

Barcelona beach

Everyone who’s been to Barcelona knows that the presence of the sea is its most defining characteristic. The soft rhythm of the waves approaching the sand is the beat that moves its heart.

You have to stroll through Barceloneta beach if you truly want to decipher the “Barcelona Code.” This illustration is a tribute to the slow philosophy and to the quality of life that define the lifestyle of one of

Europe’s most attractive cities.
